...OK, guys. Since July ended up being one of THOSE kind of months, everyone's getting a free pass on activity. The one exception is Eros, because when I last spoke to his player, she said she was going to have to drop from the game due to real life pressures.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, normal activity will be expected for the month of August. After all, godlings, you've got trips to be planning and taking! So get on 'em!

All that said, though, if you KNOW you're not going to be able to make quota for the month, LET ME KNOW, and preferably sooner rather than later. We'll get you hooked up with a hiatus for however long you need or whatever the situation warrants. I don't care what the reason is--going on vacation, moving, got a million things to do at work, the characters just aren't talking to you, kidnapped by pirates and/or terrorists (which, for the record, I will assume is the default reason unless you say otherwise), whatever--but unless you give me SOME kind of heads-up, I am going to expect that you plan to hit quota for the month. So, please. You can IM me. Email me. Text me. Call me and/or leave me a voicemail. Or even just comment on the hiatus page. I promise, you won't get in trouble.

Okay, the May activity check has been run, and only one character is being moved to Standby: Sigyn. But, if she gets her tags in June, she'll be moved back to Active status, of course. ^_^

Well, everyone, I'm pleased to say that everyone under normal circumstances passed the activity check for March, so congratulations! ^_^ Everyone who was on Standby has been returned to full Active Status. Keep up the good work!

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, normal activity will be required for the month of April. Of course, if any of you ever run into difficulties or foresee that you might not be able to make check for the month, please talk to me as soon as you are able, and I'll be happy to work with you on it.

Also, if you haven't posted on the Gloss yet, please do so as soon as you get a chance!

That said, I know that springtime tends to be a busy time for a lot of people in terms of their real-world obligations. I completely understand. However, I still want to do everything I can to keep each and every one of you engaged and excited about Metem.

As a reminder, we DO have a groupchat available every night on IRC (which can be accessed through a number of free clients as well as services like Trillian). The channel is #Metemchat on the Serenia server. You are all strongly encouraged to take advantage of it! I get lonely in there all by myself otherwise.

Beyond that and the things I currently do, what can I, as a mod, better do to serve you? What sorts of things would you like to see to keep you all engaged and active members? Please do not be shy--while I can't promise I'll be able to use all of them, I am always open to suggestions! You're welcome to post them here, or contact me privately with ideas. And, of course, you are ALL welcome to post on the OOC boards if there is ever anything you want to share. ♥

I am proud to say that everybody passed the Activity Check for December, so that's fantastic! I haven't had to put anyone on Standby yet in our six-and-a-half months of gameplay. ^_^ Thanks again for making this an awesome game to be part of! Barring any unusual circumstances, normal activity will be required for the month of January as well.

Keep watching the comm for when our seven-month anniversary comes up, because, as always, there will be something special to mark it!
